Can't think this would be really useful, but maybe some want to make templates for both cases. now with Reacontrolmidi you can assign ccs like you would do with a Behringer BCR2000 or any other controller you might use. activate the midi ins and outs (or just midi in) of Kore, "control only"ģ. If you would not want to use Kore for - er, Kore, but only as a midi controller, this (highly unlikely) thing would work this way:Ģ. And pressing F1 gets you back to Kore, to noodle and automate within.Īddon, Kore ONLY as midi controller (very unlikely) So voila, for those of us who don't have a dedicated knob and button toy with this you can now control at least volume of your tracks (feel free to add more to the ncc file by assigning them in the controller editor software), pan and master volume. You switch from the normal Kore automation mode to the midi mode by pressing F1 on your kore hardware controller. Now fire up the controller editor software (dunno if this is mandatory for you, but I always do, doesn't harm and I use Kore with another host very rarely, for which I have another setup, so I can switch^^) and choose your reaper2.ncc file. IMPORTANT: do NOT activate the kore midi in or out in your midi devices! That was what I did not understand in the beginning, so things went wrong. If you enable the midi devices, be it for control only or "enable", you'll get an error message all of the time, as you already set it up under your control surface-settings!ģ. Enter kore midi in 1 as midi in there, and kore midi out 1 as output, leave the rest as it is. > go under preferences to "control surfaces". As far as I know it is not possible yet, but of course every hint here would be much appreciated.) (Ignore pages 3, 5 in my file - they are just volume and pan again, as I didn't manage up to now to, say, automate a cockos plugin this way. , following the mackie control mode, has the master volume. I just setup page 1 for volume of 8 tracks and mute tracks, and page 2 for pan the first 8 tracks and solo 1-8, to see if things work^^. (The ncc file is just a settings file which you can easily change after your wishes. In my case it is user/documents/Native Instruments/controller editor. Load this reaper2.ncc file into your folder of the controller editor software that comes with Kore 2. I uploaded a file now, VERY basic, find it here in the stash reaper ressources. Exchanging pms and reading a thread in our very forum I found out some users struggle to get the "midi controller" function of Kore 2.1 to work with Reaper. This is just, and maybe only, important for users of NI Kore 2.1.
